OUR WEDDING

OUR WEDDING

We are so excited to invite you to join us in Greece for our wedding in July 2022!

We have always dreamed of having a destination wedding - one big, amazing vacation shared with our closest family and friends.

Greece holds a special place in our hearts, and we couldn't think of a more perfect destination for one of the biggest events of our lives.

We've built this site to let you know all the details and to help you plan your trip to Greece.

Enjoy!

Instructions if you have already made travel arrangements. with Miles Away:

Please reach out to Mara and her team to adjust your plans. They will help you either 1) transfer your deposit and rebook you for the new 2022 dates, or 2) cancel your reservations and offer your deposit back as either a travel voucher which you can use to rebook at a later time, or a full refund depending on Greece's travel policy. We highly recommend transferring your deposit to the 2022 dates if you are likely to join us.

Getting to Sifnos:

  • Stay at least one night in Athens between your in-bound/out-bound flights and island ferries to protect from flight and ferry delays. Athens airport is approximately 45 minutes from Pireaus Port (where you board ferries to islands). Bring Euros for cabs.

  • 2022 ferry schedules will be available this fall.  We highly recommend using Aegean Speed Lines and avoid Golden Star Ferries (they are less reliable and have been known to cancel service). SeaJets is the fastest option, but their boats are smaller and can be bumpier. Build in time for potential ferry delays.

  • Plan your Sifnos ferry schedule to arrive on the island during daylight - it will be much easier to navigate!

Accommodations:

Sifnos is a small island and we are hoping to have everyone stay around the same area, either in Platys Gialos (wedding reception location) or a nearby town called Chrysopigi (wedding ceremony location). All the hotels are boutique so we wanted to share a few options for consideration. Also feel free to look at AirBNB or VRBO, although options might be a bit limited.

Sifnos

Sifnos

Before “Συγχαρητήρια!” or “Mazal tov!”, the first response we received when we told people we were getting married in Sifnos was:

“WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SIFNOS?”

Fortunately for us, we’re working with the best wedding planners in Greece who had this simple advice when we asked their help on choosing a location:

“IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE REAL, AUTHENTIC GREECE BEFORE IT LOST ITS SOUL AND TURNED INTO MYKONOS, YOU MUST GO TO SIFNOS!”

We've fallen in love with Sifnos, and we hope you will too.

But don't just take our word for it:

National Geographic - Greece's Gourmet Island

Your love, laughter and company on our wedding day is the greatest gift of all.

However, should you wish to help us celebrate with a gift, a registry is held at:

William Sonoma

Crate and Barrel

For those of you feeling inspired to gift, thank you in advance! Since our wedding location and where we live are so far away from each other, we respectfully ask that you would consider purchasing your gifts online and having them shipped directly to our home in California.
